Estora és una empresa de tradició familiar que es dedica a la manufactura d'estores i peces d'espart com a complements per la llar. Pere Batlle és el nom que s'amaga darrera d'Estora.
El 1917 Josep Batlle Ferré inicia en un petit obrador de la Bisbal d'Empordà la manufactura d'estores i peces d'espart per a treballs agrícoles.
Hereu i perfeccionador de tècniques ancestrals, el seu fill Joan, pren el relleu generacional començant l'eleboració d'estores com a complements per a la llar.
L'any 1996 Pere Batlle consolida la tradició familiar amb l'obertura del taller Estora impulsant la conjunció d'innovadors i acurats processos de manufactura artesana amb la recerca permanent de les fibres vegetals més exclusives i llegendàries: cotó egipci, lli d'Antioquía, paper finés, espart i sisal, el millor llegat del món vegetal transformat en primera matèria de creació intemporal per a la nova línia de mobles de complement Estora.
In 1917 Josep Batlle Ferré opened a small workshop in La Bisbal d'Empordà engaged in the manufacture of espart grass matting and agricultural utensils.
Josep's son and heir, Joan, improved on the ancestral production techniques employed at the workshop, marking the generational change by launching tha manufacture of carpets for domestic use.
In 1996, Pere Batlle consolidated the family tradition by opening the ESTORA factory, combining efficient new processes with craft manufacturing techniques to produce unique plant fibres that soon won considerable renown. Egyptian cotton, linen from Antioch, paper prom Finland, esparto and isal: the finest products from the plant world converted into the raw material of timeless creation for the new ESTORA line of complementary furniture.
